The workshop introduces participants to the fascinating world of biocompatible soft materials through practical experiments. Participants will have the opportunity to create capsules based on chitosan and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), which are used in medicine and environmental applications due to their biocompatibility and durability. During the session, the role of ionic bonds in capsule formation will be explained, and students will observe the process of their creation, stabilization, and coloring using a safe dye, methylene blue. The workshop provides an excellent opportunity to foster scientific curiosity and gain practical knowledge about functional materials.
